Storck, Idstein im Taunus
Starting with his parents‘ bicycle shop in Frankfurt am Main, Markus Storck had already developed his first ideas for others like a brake booster for Bike-tech MTB until he launched his own brands. Since 1995, he has been establishing several completely new brands and technologies onto the German market with his own company named Storck and has won numerous design awards for its bicycles. The Idstein based company not only equips top athletes, but also uses the technologies and knowledge for urban bicycles – top technology and design from FrankfurtRheinMain available all over the world.
Riese & Müller, Weiterstadt
With Riese & Müller it all began with two engineers, a good idea and a garage. Nevertheless, not in California, rather in the south of FrankfurtRheinMain, in Darmstadt, to be more precise. Immediately after the company was founded, it has been awarded with the Innovation Prize in 1993 and has grown to become an internationally renowned premium manufacturer of E-Bikes, folding and special bikes. As previously, Riese & Müller manufactures the most innovative bikes of tomorrow with the passion of “yesteryear”. Therefore, if you are looking for a special bike they have got one for your needs. May it be one for 2-4 children or the dog, a cargo bicycle or a simple e-bike – manufactured still in Weiterstadt, not far from the old garage ;).
Cucuma, Darmstadt
Darmstadt and its bikes! In the huge sales and production hall of the brand Cucuma, also located in the south of the Frankfurt region, everyone can adapt its own perfectly customized bike and watch how the professionals work. You choose the style of the bike, frame colour, decor and personalized equipment and thus create your own dream bike. It will then be assembled in Darmstadt and delivered to your home or you can pick it up.
Berner Bikes, Odenwald
For many years, Berner Bikes has been the address for individual bikes with outstanding riding characteristics and accessories. Since 1981, the bikes have been built in a workshop in the Odenwald with perfection and above all a love of detail. The goal is to create frames and attachments in such a way that everything fits the rider as if it was tailor-made. Competitiveness wanted? Then checkout the cycle race “Eschborn-Frankfurt”, which annually takes place on May 1st and being of the most important German one-day races. Although the competition regularly brings the world’s best cyclists to Frankfurt and the Taunus mountains, everyone can follow in the footsteps of the pros over three distances. Besides that, during summer there are many smaller MTB and street races in FankfurtRheinMain.
