Despite the Coronavirus pandemic, FRM GmbH as the international marketing agency for the FrankfurtRheinMain region has still notched up successes in attracting new companies. And the business itself is growing. An initial assessment.
Since the beginning of the year, FrankfurtRheinMain GmH International Marketing of the Region (FRM GmbH) has welcomed on board two new shareholders: the Rhein-Lahn region and the Rheinhessen region, consisting of Mainz as the capital of the State of the Rhineland Palatinate, the city of Worms, and the districts of Mainz-Bingen and Alzey-Worms. In other words, the location marketing company now handles portfolios in three federal states, namely Hessen, Bavaria and Rhineland Palatinate. Moreover, the town of Raunheim, which has been a shareholder in FRM GmbH since 2019, boosted its stake in the company. Other interested partners are currently evaluating a holding.
Business at FRM GmbH has also developed favourably, despite Coronavirus. Since the beginning of the year, 18 international companies have located in the region, and the location consultants are currently busy processing in excess of 400 initial location enquiries. Eric Menges, President & CEOof FrankfurtRheinMain GmbH International Marketing of the Region, reads the trend as follows: “The reason for this is that international decisionmakers in the age of Coronavirus and remote working are often easier to reach.” He also says that the company is planning to participate actively in Frankfurt based trade fairs again in coming months. At present the team is preparing to take part in the International Frankfurt Book Fair as well as the Formnext and the Hypermotion trade fairs in Frankfurt.
